We help every student shine!

At Mother Teresa, we believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. We give them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.

Creative and performing arts

We encourage our students to explore their passions and talents. We have a range of opportunities available for students to participate in creative and performing arts activities and programs such as music, drama and dance.

One of these opportunities is the CAPTIVATE Strings program. Every student in Years 3 and 4 learns a stringed instrument - violin, viola, cello or bass. These students receive weekly strings lessons, with the option of paid lessons in Years 5 and 6 if a student wishes to continue learning their instrument.

School sport

Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport. In addition to the school swimming, athletics and cross-country carnivals, students are able to participate and represent our school in a range of sports including netball and soccer.

Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocesan Primary Schools Sports Council.

  • supporting St Vincent de Paul's Winter and Christmas Appeals with donations
  • Year 6 students participating in Vinnies Winter Sleep Out to raise awareness of the issues of poverty and homelessness
  • Year 6 RE and Social Justice Team speaking about social justice issues and initiatives at weekly whole school assemblies.
