Extracurricular & Sport

A Mother Teresa education allows students to discover their own talents and provides opportunities to fully explore these.

We encourage our students to learn more than just the fundamentals, engaging them in a wide array of co-curricular activities.

Extracurricular activities provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership and organisation skills as well as their self-confidence, enabling students to make valuable contributions to our school and the local community in many ways.

Our extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Learning Studio excursions and incursions
  • Japanese language and culture lessons
  • Outreach to the local community e.g. local nursing home
  • Captivate A3 - Singing & Dancing Performance
  • Mini Vinnies
  • 'Mother Teresa's Got Talent' quest
  • gardening group

Representative Sport

At Mother Teresa we offer our students the opportunity to participate in many different sports and events.

Sport at our school is about participation, teamwork, healthy lifestyle choices, skill development and, above all, fun.

All children are encouraged to become involved at a level with which they feel comfortable, and to extend this involvement to realise the potential harboured within each individual. Those children who exhibit particular talents in sport have access to representative sports at a number of levels, from school through to national.

In addition to the school swimming, athletics and cross-country carnivals, students are able to participate and represent our school in:

  • swimming
  • athletics
  • soccer
  • netball
  • gymnastics
  • cross-country
